IMPORTANT TEST DAY INFORMATION

SAT | ACT

Please read this information carefully and completely BEFORE test day.

REQUIRED – BRING THESE ITEMS

  • Fully charged testing device — Bring your device fully charged. Backup devices and chargers will be available, but do not rely on them.
  • Physical picture ID — You will not be permitted to test without a picture ID. A current school ID or valid government-issued ID is acceptable.
    • Your name, date of birth, and photograph must match your admission ticket.
  • Admission Ticket — Bring a printed copy if possible. You may also have it available on your cell phone before testing.
  • Pen/Pencil
  • Calculator and batteries — Bring your own. We do not have extras. The SAT also includes a calculator feature in the math section.

KNOW YOUR LOGIN INFORMATION

You MUST know your College Board/Bluebook or ACT Unity username and password BEFORE arriving.

Do not wait until test day to figure out your login information.

DEVICES & WHAT NOT TO BRING

Do not bring smartwatches, AirPods, earbuds, headphones, or other electronic devices that are not needed for testing.

  • Cell phones will be collected before testing begins.
  • Smartwatches and other unauthorized devices will also be collected.
  • Hats and hoods are not permitted during testing.
  • iPads are not recommended and may cause problems during testing.

TEST DAY SCHEDULE

7:30 a.m.

Student arrival

7:40 a.m.

Test center doors open

8:05 a.m.

Doors close – NO LATE ARRIVALS

8:15–8:30 a.m.

Testing begins

10:30–11:00 a.m.

Standard-time testing ends

11:00–11:30 a.m.

Time-and-a-half testing ends

12:00–1:00 p.m.

Double-time testing ends

ACT testing may end later.

Your exact ending time depends on your start time, testing room, and accommodations. You may finish earlier or later than the times listed above. Please make sure anyone picking you up knows this.

DURING THE TEST

  • You must remain in the testing room for the required testing time.
  • You cannot leave until your testing time has ended or you are permitted to waive your remaining time.
  • You must submit your answers at the end of the test.
  • Do not close your testing screen until you receive the “Congratulations” message.

BREAKS

  • Students may have breaks at different times.
  • Food may only be eaten during your designated break and must be eaten in the hallway unless otherwise directed.
  • Drinks must remain on the floor.
  • If you are approved for extra breaks, they are already built into your testing time.
  • If you have breaks as needed, a tab will appear in your test.
  • If you take an unscheduled break, you must select the appropriate tab on your screen, and you will lose testing time.

There is absolutely NO TALKING during breaks or in the restrooms. Other students may still be testing.

You may not discuss the test or anything related to the test at any time. Do not wander through the building. Stay in your assigned hallway.

ACCOMMODATIONS

All testing accommodations must be arranged with the College Board or ACT BEFORE test day.

If you arrive and an accommodation you were expecting is not programmed into your test, you may have to test with the test that is programmed for you or be dismissed.

If accommodations are listed for you, they must be provided. You cannot waive an accommodation or request to move to another room on test day.

Questions about accommodations should be addressed with the College Board/ACT before test day.

ARRIVING & LEAVING SCHOOL

Please expect traffic and delays when entering and leaving the school.

  • Follow all signs and pavement markings.
  • Follow directions from security personnel.
  • Be patient and courteous.
