-
To be considered for local/athletic scholarships, please complete the Local Scholarship Application & Coversheet. After you know what scholarships you are applying for, complete the Local Scholarship Worksheet. The forms will be fillable, so applicants will be able to type right in the documents.
Each scholarship on the Local Scholarship Listing has it's own criteria that needs to be fulfilled and submitted in order to be considered. For your convenience, this year the criteria has been color coded as follows:- BLUE = type of post-secondary program, major, or career is required to apply.
- GREEN = GPA/rank/academic standing requirement to apply *Will require transcript or report card to be submitted to verify. Transcripts can be retrieved in Naviance student accounts.
- PURPLE = An additional essay is required based on a provided prompt
- RED = Proof of community service is required.
- PINK = Letters of recommendation must be requested and submitted as part of the application.
- ORANGE = Other criteria is required. Please read these requirements closely.
Letters of Recommendation must be requested from the Guidance Office clerical staff. It is your responsibility to let them know if you need multiple letters and/or one from a specific teacher. Ms. Neckin will get these letters directly from the Counseling Center to be included as part of your application. Only request letters for scholarships that specifically require them.
Make sure that your name or any other personally identifying information only appears on the Worksheet. Any supporting documents you submit, such as proof of community service or your transcript MUST have your name removed. You can use white out, sharpie, or any other means necessary to remove proof of your name.
Your ID number must be written on the top of every piece of paper you submit.
Once the application is complete, be sure to make a copy for your records. Although you only have to complete the application once, you will have to submit it for every scholarship you are applying for - so before you submit to another scholarship, be sure to make a copy so you have it to submit to the next scholarship. All portions of the application will be posted to the CHS website following the Local Scholarship Informational Meeting in January.
Completed applications, coversheets and worksheet are due to Ms. Neckin on a date to be determined in 2026.
Good Luck!!
