Community Update: Addressing a recent media report regarding lead levels in the drinking water at Connetquot High School.

Dear Connetquot Community,

I am writing to address a recent media report regarding lead levels in the drinking water at Connetquot High School. The information shared in that news story is inaccurate, due to an error in the state’s publicly reported database. After becoming aware of the news report, the district immediately contacted state officials, who have acknowledged the error and are working to correct the mistake on their end.

SPRING 2026 DRIVERS EDUCATION PROGRAM

ENROLLMENT/REGISTRATION FOR DRIVERS EDUCATION: Ms. Marino – Room 168

  • There are only 104 spots available for the Spring Drivers Education Program.

**Monday, January 6, 2026 – Seniors ONLY can enroll for Drivers Education between 8AM and 1:30 PM

**Tuesday,January 7, 2026 through Thursday, January 9, 2026, Seniors and Juniors can enroll for the remaining Drivers Education spots.

  • THERE ARE ONLY 104 SPOTS AVAILABLE

  • Per the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles - Any person with a NYS Class DJ driver’s license cannot drive to or from the high school without a parent or guardian in the vehicle.
