SENIOR WALK 2026 – JUNE 17TH | READ INFORMATION BELOW
We are pleased to announce the Class of 2026, will be participating in a Senior Walk. The Elementary Schools have invited the seniors to visit the Elementary School they attended, wearing their cap and gowns, to walk the hallways for all the current students to see. The seniors can reflect on their memories, while inspiring the little ones.
The Senior Walk will take place on Wednesday, 6/17/26. Students are to report at 9:15 AM to board buses in rear of high school. Attendance will be taken as students board the bus. Buses will depart from Connetquot High School at 9:45 AM and will return at approximately 11:00 AM. All Students must ride the school buses to and from the high school. Students are NOT allowed to drive their own car nor get picked up at the elementary school.

Parking at Connetquot High School:
Parking on the Connetquot High School campus is a SENIOR PRIVILEGE and you must have a CHS Parking Tag. This tag is available through the CHS Security Office after completing a parking application.
- SENIORS WHO ARE REPORTED DRIVING RECKLESSLY IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WILL LOSE THE PRIVILEGE TO PARK IN THE SENIOR PARKING LOT.
Only SENIORS with a New York State Class D driver’s license can apply for a parking tag. Please note, a Class D License is issued only to people 18 years of age or older or to a person who is 17 years of age and has successfully completed an approved Driver Education course and received your certificate of completion. By law, you cannot drive to school with a Junior License (Class DJ).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR A STUDENT WITH A NYS JUNIOR DRIVERS LICENSE (CLASS DJ):
- Per the NYS GRADUATED LICENSE LAWS (LONG ISLAND REGION) - Any person with a NYS Class DJ drivers license cannot drive to or from the high school without a parent or guardian in the vehicle.

THERE IS NO COST OR FEE TO submit a Senior Parking Application, but you must have a NYS Class D Driver's License to qualify for a parking permit.
- ALL seniors who submit a parking application and receive a parking tag will be assigned a specific parking space number.
PARKING TAGS MUST BE DISPLAYED FROM YOUR REARVIEW MIRROR WHEN YOU PARK ON SCHOOL GROUNDS. Violators will receive a warning. Ongoing issues may result in loss of parking privileges.
If you are identified parking on school grounds without a valid parking tag you can be prohibited from parking on school grounds in the future.
- JUNIORS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO PARK ON SCHOOL GROUNDS

Class of 2026 - How to receive your Senior Parking Tag?
- Even if you paid to paint a Senior Parking Space you must apply for a Senior Parking Tag.
- During the last two weeks of August the high school will begin accepting Class of 2026 Senior Parking Permit Applications.

Submitting Senior Parking Applications will take place during the school year during periods 1 through 5 at the Security Desk located by the back door to the student parking lot.
